Job Description
The Tax Management Technology team uses data visualization and mining tools to build effective financial reporting and make sense of large volumes of financial data. Data insights and project economics are published online.

The team pulls the data from various financial systems and sources, including ERPs, cleans it, and combines it for effective reporting.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 3

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Applied Data Analytics and Visualization.

Degree Preferred: Master's degree of Science in Analytics or in Information Technology.

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Using methods to interpret and gain insight from vast quantities of structured and unstructured data;
- Identifying patterns and trends, analytic visualization principals, and understanding of financial reporting;

- Developing and analyzing operational reporting requests including Clients, Markets and Sectors, Line of Service (LOS), Finance, and Leadership and Management reports;

- Utilizing benchmarking methodologies;
- Identifying, anticipating, and resolving technical issues;
- Demonstrating ability with SQL query building and execution;
- Using Tableau, Qlik and Power Bi data visualization software; and,
- Utilizing Alteryx, Trifacta, and similar ETL and data mining tools in addition to other tools and methodologies related to financial analysis and reporting.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting in the areas of research, project maintenance, cost management, and operational analysis;
- Provide analytical and technical assistance to all levels of finance staff and other key stakeholders;
- Propose and design changes and additions to existing reporting packages;
- Analyze results and mitigate risk by monitoring and following up on outstanding issues;
- Participate in cost containment, control improvements, and process efficiencies;
- Interact effectively with system programmers and database administrators as necessary to develop or improve systems or tools including the ability to work with server-based and cloud-based data visualization tools and ETL software;
- Support all levels of staff by providing instruction/assistance on financial reporting systems, analyses and research;
- Be proactive, inquisitive, and identify possible issues, make recommendations, and support conclusions;
- Manage leadership requests related to strategic planning and presentations and other related ad hoc requests;
- Manage quality related requests that may include time analysis for specific engagements or partners, support information for PCAOB reviews and a wide variety of other risk management related requests;
- Resource related requests around utilization, market specific reviews/trends, and other potential resource related requests; and,
- Work with SQL, Oracle databases, PL/SQL, SQL, and Data Modelling.
