Job Description

Professionals in PwC Public Sector LLP may be subject to a government security investigation and may need to meet related eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Our Operations consultants help clients realize competitive advantage from operations. This high performing team translates business strategy into effective operations to drive both growth and profitability. Specific areas of focus include product innovation and development, supply chain, procurement and sourcing, manufacturing operations, service operations, and capital asset programs and operations.

The Chief of Party (COP) team will work in the Public Sector Practice specializing in US donor-funded projects. The COP team will be located in the USAID program country and will serve as the primary liaison between PwC and USAID. The COP team will work with US-based team members on project development, execution, monitoring, communication and management.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 15

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success managing, implementing, and advising programs with a
focus on policy, institutions and investment related to power
generation, transmission, and distribution, including but not
limited to the following:

- Working in developing countries and government organizations
on energy issues;

- Leading USAID programs as Chief of Party or serving asproject lead for a similar bilateral or multilateral institution; and,

- Understanding technical aspects of the program including energy strategy and planning, energy policy and regulation, transmission, renewable energy project development, energy finance and transactions, off-take and power purchase agreements, power pools, tariffs, investment promotion, communication and stakeholder engagement.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Leading large and complex programs in support of development
organizations including USAID, multilateral development banks,
the United Nations, and/or European Union.

- Leading, coaching, and motivating team members, promoting a collaborative work environment by providing a strategic and balanced oversight, proactively sharing insights, knowledge and experience, and seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation.

- Overseeing the components of a power program

-Facilitating the close of private sector energy transactions;

-Providing institutional, policy, legal, and regulatory support;

-Organizing and coordinating with stakeholder institutions in the

power sector across the developing country; and,

-Creating partnerships and working relationships with civil

society, utilities, financial institutions, and businesses.
