Job Description
Members of the Partner Tax Preparation Assistance program (PTPA) team is a national team comprised of dedicated tax professionals who serve as trusted advisors that provide tax compliance and tax planning guidance to the owners of PwC, both Partners and Principals, across the US.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 3


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other business or financial fields of study.


Certification(s) Required: Certified Public Accountant [or commitment to pass CPA exam before being promoted to Manager and thereafter obtain CPA licensure], Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar


Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of, and/or proven record of success in roles performing individual tax compliance/reviews and planning for executives, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including in the following areas:

-

Partnership K-1 income, state tax credits, composite returns, AMT, Schedules A, B, C, D, E and year end planning, and,
-

Leveraging a network of internal stakeholders and external resources to meet the needs of and service a client-base of partners and principals within a global network of professional services firms.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough level of abilities and/or proven record of success performing individual tax compliance/reviews and planning for executives, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including the following:

- Emphasizing the use of firm-issued technologies, e.g., Microsoft Office, Word, Excel PowerPoint, SharePoint, et al; Google at Work:

docs, sheets, slides, drive, et al; Lotus Notes, etc.;
-

Leveraging technical skills with reviewing individual tax returns and tax planning for partners within a firm or executives, especially identifying and addressing client tax issues; identifying a broad range of financial planning issues that are applicable to the partner and directing them to the appropriate internal resources for assistance;
- Managing tasks in the engagement including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics with the occurrence of unanticipated issues;
-

Collaborating with team members virtually;
-

Performing as a project leader: creating a positive environment by managing deadlines and workload while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues;
-

Utilizing project management and communication skills, including managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing, coordinating, reviewing and presenting complex written and verbal materials;
-

Working within various tax preparation software and on-line tax organizers, especially leading executives to understand and use various proprietary software and websites;
-

Researching complex individual tax issues; and,
-

Being comfortable performing in environments with on-going change and leveraging new technology.
