Job Description
PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements.

Finance has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, assisting with the integration (including system needs) and educating partners/managers on how to navigate our various financial systems.

The Partnership Tax group is made up of two teams: Domestic Tax and International Tax. These teams are responsible for work related to the Firm's tax obligations in all jurisdictions (i.e., filing the Firm's federal, state and foreign income tax returns, sales and use tax, other ad valorem tax returns), managing tax audits, and supporting the partners' individual tax planning and compliance.

The Domestic and International Accounting Operations team oversees the functions and processes related to financial operations of the US Firm and its Foreign subsidiaries.

The Domestic Tax Accounting Department is responsible for the Tax and Cash ledger accounting and reporting, Cash Income projections and Taxable Net Income projections. This team provides financial data and analysis to the Partnership Tax department and partners with senior leadership in developing and implementing tax planning strategies.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Years of Experience: 9

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Degree(s) Preferred: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance

Certification(s) Preferred: CPA

Knowledge Preferred:
Extensive knowledge of federal, state, local tax return preparation, tax regulations, tax compliance and tax issues.
Extensive knowledge in partnership tax and domestic income tax.
Comprehensive knowledge of the financial systems, business processes, and organization structure and the legal structure as it relates to filing requirements for the Firm and all of its related entities.
Comprehensive knowledge in key business and strategic planning and monitoring.
Considerable knowledge of international tax regulations, compliance and issues.
Considerable knowledge of ad valorem taxes.

Skills Preferred:
Extensive experience leading and managing the preparation of foreign, federal, state and local tax returns and supporting schedules for the Firm and partners.
Extensive experience monitoring tax compliance requirements and managing ongoing tax audits.
Extensive experience researching strategies to minimize the tax liabilities and risks, making decisions regarding preparation of tax schedules for tax returns, and solving complex issues impacting tax returns.
Extensive experience prioritizing multiple tax filing requirements and working effectively with partners and audit agencies to establish the timely receipt and response of relevant information needed for all tax filings and tax audits.
Demonstrated experience coordinating with other departments to prepare, review, and analyze reports necessary for preparation of Firm's tax returns.
Demonstrated experience coaching and participating in the hiring process to help establish a department with high quality staff.
Extensive experience as a team leader who can build solid relationships with partners, directors, managers, and other departments, monitor all workloads and Firm's tax returns, provide meaningful feedback to partners' and agencies' questions in a timely manner, and keep leadership and staff informed of progress and issues.
