Job Description
Insourced Solutions for Tax (IST) positions at PwC are at the forefront of the tax profession
- creating a distinctive new approach to providing tax managed services. IST delivers top talent, technology, and processes across our global network to provide an alternative tax function model that is fit for purpose today and into the future. Clients are seeing this as an innovative collaboration in response to a strategic evolution in the global market for tax managed services.

The Insourced Solutions for Tax (IST) Risk Management, Controversy Solutions and Litigation Support team is a national network of tax professionals prepared to help clients successfully navigate IRS process and procedure to facilitate compliance, drive negotiations, issue resolution, and assist with strategic planning. The team combines the knowledge and extensive experience of professionals from major law and accounting firms, leading in-house tax departments, and all major IRS functions including examinations, appeals, international, and Chief Counsel.

As a result of this collective experience, the IST Risk Management, Controversy Solutions and Litigation Support team brings valued, first-hand knowledge of multi-national client needs, respecting representation before the IRS, including IRS organization, people, process, and current initiatives, functional knowledge of client financial and tax systems and operations, to provide clients with all services necessary for effective management of their IRS relationship, including:

- Navigating the audit planning process;
- Focusing and scope-limiting IRS examinations, where possible;
- Shortening exam cycles;
- Accelerating domestic and international issue resolution;
- Providing technical consulting on excise tax issues, employment tax issues, R and D Credit issues, and Transfer Pricing issues;
- Addressing information reporting and withholding matters;
- Facilitating 9100 relief;
- UTP analysis and disclosure (including FIN 48 analysis);
- Navigating IRS examination, Appeals, and alternate dispute resolution practice and procedure; and,
- Negotiating pre-filing, closing agreements and voluntary disclosures.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 1

Minimum Degree Required: Associate's degree or 4 years of administrative experience

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates some knowledge and/or a proven record of success with identifying and addressing client needs by providing administrative support, including a proven record of success with leveraging MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint), Google, and Lotus Notes in the following areas:

- Demonstrating client projects administration and function coordination;

- Delivering financial reporting, including billing and collection management and/or engagement economic analysis;

- Obtaining and organizing of client documentation, including engagement letters, master services agreements, and statements of work;

- Organizing files, researching, computational work, and spreadsheet creation; and,

- Administrating of Quality and Risk Management and Independence tools, e.g. AFS, Acceptance and Continuance, tax processing, and performing ad-hoc projects as needed.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success with identifying and addressing client needs in the following areas:

- Responding to client and/or team requests promptly and professionally;

- Contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment; and,

- Proactively seeking instruction, feedback, and coaching to improve performance.
