Job Description
PwC's Business Advisory Services group is a distinctive practice that provides audit, technical accounting, tax, regulatory, compliance, valuation services, risk management, financial analysis and cashflow modeling, outsourcing, securities processing, payments, information risk and security, data quality, mergers and acquisitions, and other services. Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 10


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Hospitality, Finance or Accounting


Degree Preferred: MBA or Master's degree in Real Estate, Hospitality, Finance or Accounting


Certification(s) Preferred: One or more of the following:
- CPA License;
- Certified Commercial Investment Manager Certification (CCIM);
- State Certified Appraiser License;
- Member of Appraisal Institute (MAI)
- CFA Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates proven thought-leader level knowledge of, and/or success in roles directing, Real Estate Finance and valuation concepts and terminology, as well as specialized transaction and valuation services that include the following areas:

- Real Estate Market transaction and/or market participant data analysis;
- Cost, market, and income valuation methods, including discounted cash flow models;
- Real Estate transactions consulting, including finance and financial reporting facets and implications;
- Mortgage debt, CMBS, and/or other Real Estate related financial instruments valuation, regulatory and/or transactional experience.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates intimate abilities and success with conducting research and performing analyses of pertinent real estate-related client, industry, and financial, accounting or regulatory technical matters for a global network of professional services consulting firms, emphasizing the utilization of problem-solving skills to perform areas that include, but are not limited to, the following:



- Collection, synthethis and analysis of real estate market data across property types on a domestic and foreign basis;
- Analyses of historical property operating statement, and implications on value and forecasts. Review and preparation of real estate, and real estate related instruments valuation analyses using the three acceptable methods of valuation
cost, market, and income approaches-including discounted cash flow models;


- Performance of analyses related to real estate debt or CMBS instruments for valuation analyses; and,
- Identification and analyses of comparable sales, leases, and the ability to construct a discounted cash flow model using the standard suite of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Argus to execute related deliverables.

Demonstrates a thought-leader level ability and/or experience with analyzing real estate related transactions, including advisory services, due diligence, business combinations and sales related

transactions for financial, accounting, valuation, and/or compliance related deliverables.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts, identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining extensive client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, collection.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities and/or success with performing as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, to establish direction and motivate members, as well as create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, to encourage improvement and innovation.
