A career in our United States National Tax Practice National Economics and Statistics practice, within United States National Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients gain valuable insight into emerging tax issues and trends, as well helping them implement successful tax strategies in response to legislative, federal, and judicial tax developments that will impact their business. Youll help our clients with United States federal income tax considerations primarily related to foreign persons activities in the United States, United States persons activities outside the United States, cross border mergers and acquisitions, financial transactions, and insurance companies. Our team helps our clients use data driven economic analysis to anticipate and respond to challenges and opportunities that arise from legislative and regulatory changes. Youll conduct statistical analysis and modelling and data analytics with a focus on providing services to the Federal, Healthcare, Retail & Consumer, Legal and Financial Services Sectors.


As a Manager, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and teams technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: 
Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge of microeconomic theory and its application to corporate strategy and consumer behavior. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of public finance with an emphasis on U.S. federal taxation--including analyzing and modeling the economic consequences of alternative tax policies on individuals and businesses. Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge and success in roles conducting econometric analyses and other computer-based modeling. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of statistics, along with a proven record of programming statistical, mathematical, and other modeling software.

Demonstrates proven extensive mathematical, quantitative and computer skills, including familiarity with database and statistical processing software and computer programming concepts. Demonstrates proven extensive analytical and written/verbal communication skills, emphasizing writing on economic and business topics.
