Services industry team provides strategy, management, technology and risk consulting services to help a diverse set of clients around the world anticipate and address their most complex business challenges. CIPS includes multiple sectors: Automotive, Energy, Industrial Products, Retail and Consumer, and Utilities.

Our Operations consultants help clients realize competitive advantage from operations. This high performing team translates business strategy into effective operations to drive both growth and profitability. Specific areas of focus include product innovation and development, supply chain, procurement and sourcing, manufacturing operations, service operations, and capital asset programs and operations.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Years of Experience: 8


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree


Degree(s) Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Preferred Degree Major: in Engineering or Operations Management


Certification(s) Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Advisor (CFA), or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS)


Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates intimate expertise and a proven track record of success using a "pull" continuous replenishmentsystem with distributors/customers in order to increase frequency, speed, and quality of deliveries, implementing a "Cross Docking Distribution System" to significantly reduce warehousing costs and speed inventory turns; reducing premium freight costs through the adoption of logistics controls; establishing a system using bar codes or radio frequency tags to streamline the material receipt and inventory updating process; reducing the number of preferred carriers and developing prearranged and pre-authorized modes of transportation for standard and premium vendor shipments.


Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates proven expert-level ability to lead large or multiple teams through the design and implementation of people, process and technology changes to the logistics and warehousing functions at our clients.
Demonstrates proven expert-level abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection.
Demonstrates intimate abilities and proven success as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
Demonstrates intimate and extensive experience with various enterprise resource planning systems and warehouse management systems such as JD Edwards, SAP (especially Warehouse Management and Inventory Management modules), Oracle, Hyperion, Siebel, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Manhattan Associates, EXE, Manugistics
