A career within Delivering Deal Value services, will provide you with the opportunity to help clients achieve maximum value on their deal transactions by solving transformational and complex challenges. We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction, pre and post completion. We conduct pre deal and confirmatory due diligence, execute large scale enterprise wide integrations, and support complex divestitures and separations on a wide range of functional areas such as Information Technology, Operations, Human Capital, Health Industries, and other back office functions.


Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
  • Train and lead staff
  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and teams technical acumen
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients 
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

This role supports the IT function within M&A. You will experience the complete deal cycle, from due diligence to negotiations, Day 1 planning, systems separation/integration, and synergy/stranded costs optimization.

Accounting, Engineering, Operations Management/Research, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Computer and Information Science

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: 

Demonstrates a thorough level of abilities with, and/or a proven record of success including: 

  • Proactively assist the team in various aspects of a deals project (due diligence, mergers/acquisitions, divestitures/spin-offs);
  • Develop financial models for IT costs/benefits;
  • Plan and oversee implementation of integration and separation projects as the result of M&A activity (including Day One readiness and execution);
  • Model synergy savings and stranded costs;
  • Ensure technology alignment with business strategies and identify key dependencies and risks;
  • Recommend enterprise architecture, solutions and systems based on industry leading practices and past experiences;
  • Prepare high quality deliverables;
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively to positively influence peers and stakeholders;
  • Support engagement leaders with engagement scoping, planning, the management of engagement economics and risks; and,
  • Contribute towards developing reusable sales and delivery assets such as point of views, playbooks, client qualifications, solution architectures and high-level execution plans.

Demonstrates a thorough level of abilities with, and/or a proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing client needs by: 

  • Having experience with one or more of the following systems including ERP, MRP, HRIS, CRM, SCM, BI/Analytics, Datacenter/Cloud, Unified Communications & Identity Access Management;
  • Being familiar with IT vendor contract negotiations, IT Operating Model, Budgeting & Cost Analysis;
  • Understanding one or more of the process areas including Record to Report, Recruit to Retire, Order to Cash, Source to Pay or Plan to Produce;
  • Demonstrating proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving ability;
  • Actively taking initiative and working with ambiguous, changing requirements and constraints in a fast paced environment;
  • Leveraging prior M&A experience;
  • Possessing thorough project management skills and ability to structure work;
  • Having thorough interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work well with others effectively in teams;
  • Communicating effectively in written and oral formats to various situations and audiences; and,
  • Willing and able to travel up to 80% of the business week.
