Job Description
Our Operations consultants help clients realize competitive advantage from operations. This high performing team translates business strategy into effective operations to drive both growth and profitability. Specific areas of focus include product innovation and development, supply chain, procurement and sourcing, manufacturing operations, service operations, and capital asset programs and operations. The business world constantly changes, thats not new. However, what is new is that this time its affecting how consultants go to market. More data points & sources; more desire for hard facts & analytics in decision making; virtually unlimited computing power & storage; better tools & new approaches all of these changes have created an unprecedented opportunity to deliver better insights and real value at lower costs than ever before. In the Analytic Apps group our goal is to use those trends and changes to build offerings that help make our consultants look brilliant in front of clients. We integrate data, proprietary algorithms and visualizations, with the consultants deep industry knowledge and experience to answer complex business problems that challenge our clients in several industries. By doing this, we differentiate PwC in the marketplace, win more work and deliver outstanding value to our customers. In the App Group, we want to build a customer centric/data driven product development organization. The Product Management team is at the very center of that, coordinating the efforts of the entire team across multiple disciplines. They have to understand the customers needs, create the overall strategy in conjunction with the team, communicate the direction the product is going to everyone involved and continually influence/coach the cross functional team as they pull together and deliver for stakeholders.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 5 years of significant product management experience, including product design experience working on product releases Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or similar quantitative discipline, or significant product management experience. Job seekers who have obtained their PhD are only required to have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Degree Preferred: Master's degree in Business or similar quantitative discipline Certification(s) Preferred: Scrum Master
- Certified Agile Product Owner Knowledge Preferred: Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success executing client engagements and/or projects within a professional services environment with industry or functional domain knowledge and also including the following areas:
- Statistical Analysis and Techniques;
- Customer, Product, and Pricing Analysis; and,
- Business and Operations Analysis within marketing, operations, or risk analysis using quantitative techniques. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in applying analytical modeling and techniques to projects, including in the following areas:
- Visualization techniques and tools, i.e. D3/HTML Visualizations, Tableau/Qlikview/Spotfire/etc, Advanced Excel/Access UI, etc.;
- Advanced analytics techniques, regression, simulation, utilizing R/SAS, SPSS, Java, VBA, etc.;
- Applicable sources of external, internal or new data sources, i.e. SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Hadoop, MSFT Access, etc.; and,
- Healthcare, Insurance, Financial Services, Customer and industrial Products and Services, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Telecom Industries. Skills Preferred: Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in product management including the following areas:
- Collaborating with constituents to generate proposals and help manage deployment of offshore-based resources to deliver engagements;
- Managing and coaching small multidisciplinary product teams and collaborating with designers, business users and developers to innovate and drive product development;
- Being an influential voice on behalf of the customer, our consultants and their clients, constantly thinking about their needs and the reflection of those needs in the products we deliver;
- Producing visual prototype and functional prototypes with agile approaches;
- Managing release planning, backlog and roadmap requirements creation; proven track record for deploying high quality products;
- Prioritizing new features/development and ensuring execution is completed;
- Demonstrating effective collaboration with teams spanning multiple geographies to develop and deliver analytic applications;
- Applying data and analytics to solve questions of business strategy for clients. Be able to create competitive analyses for potential products, drive appropriate segmentation approaches and develop preliminary business cases refining them all as emergent information arises;
- Communicating passionately and articulately creating storyboards/presentations, demoing the platform, and being comfortable communicating with all of our stakeholders, partners, consultants, and clients;
- Drafting communications and training related to the product releases; and,
- Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to travel, as assignments require, and having a flexible mindset and comfort with multi-tasking and quickly shifting priorities.
