Job Description
The mission of the Alliances program is to serve as a primary channel to drive innovation and incremental revenue. It is comprised of a portfolio of strategic vendor relationships that drive planned and repeatable cross Line of Service revenue through differentiated joint go-to-market solutions. The measurable growth of the Alliances program is enabled by aligning non-exclusively with market leaders while selectively pursuing vertical and competency focused relationships that will positively impact firm growth and our ability to provide enhanced services to our clients.

The purpose of Joint Business Relationships (JBRs) is to help enable the execution of Advisory strategy by leveraging external third parties that contribute to Advisory growth, thought leadership impact, and/or client service delivery.

Only JBRs that can actively contribute to these areas should be pursued, sponsored, and maintained by Advisory leadership and market teams.

The role of the Advisory JBR Business Team is to lead Strategic Business Lens reviews for all newly proposed and renewal JBRs. This includes working with vertical/horizontal leaders, JBR Partner Sponsors, and teams to assess alignment with Advisory strategy ensuring Sponsor teams properly socialize proposed JBRs with appropriate Advisory leadership and make approval recommendations to Advisory senior leaders.



The Advisory JBR Business Team will work with the JBR Management Group (JBRMG) in Risk and Quality to manage systems and processes that will provide accurate reporting, workflow processing, and data collection around JBR management. The Advisory JBR Business Team is part of the Alliances organization and will help promote strategic high-performing JBRs to potentially become part of the Alliance portfolio.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree


Degree Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration.


Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success

managing and executing the following focus areas related to Joint Business Relationships (JBRs) or Alliances within the client delivery experience of a global professional services consulting firm:

- Articulating the value proposition and messaging related to working with external relationships;

- Acting as an advisor to Advisory Partner leadership in managing and executing a portfolio of external relationships;

- Driving individual work streams related to vetting JBRs in alignment with, and broader impact to, Advisory strategy;

- Developing and executing strategic priorities, building key relationships with leaders across Advisory, and helping connect different parts of the business that may be impacted by a potential JBR;

- Leveraging knowledge of risk, quality, and independence related policies around working with external relationships;

- Collaborating with client services and related teams on executing program initiatives;

- Managing work priorities independently of a large team while still being results-oriented;

- Overseeing and managing meeting schedules, operational activities, processes, and initiatives pertaining to an alliance and strategic growth program;

- Preparing weekly status and change reports to communicate JBR changes, workloads, and the development and/or execution of targeted initiatives;

- Driving and executing the development, implementation and support of policies, industry leading practices, guidance and tools as required;

- Managing and analyzing reports related to JBRs or an Alliance, making recommendations based on results;



- Supporting Alliance program leadership in strategy development, portfolio management, and operations execution; and,

- Overseeing and managing the knowledge assets, content, and knowledge management infrastructure, e.g., Google, Spark, leveraged by the JBR Business Team or other components under the Alliance program.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success managing efforts involving the following areas related to JBRs or Alliances within the client delivery experience of a global professional services consulting firm:

- Forging rigorous planning and follow-through on objectives set forth by the program, including a proven record of managing projects that emphasize strategy alignment and stakeholder management;

- Identifying and addressing team needs, building solid relationships with diverse teams, developing an awareness of Advisory offerings in the market; approaching teams in an organized manner, and delivering clear requests for information;

- Encouraging improvement and innovation and demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks;

- Leveraging project management methods, including stakeholder management, program controls and project management;

- Managing reporting, issue resolution, cost-benefit/budget analysis, program controls, project management desktop applications, and time/resource management tools;

- Overseeing and executing complex workstreams while liaising with senior level management;

- Supporting multiple projects, activities and priorities running in parallel that range in size, complexity, and duration;

- Performing in a deadline driven and matrixed professional services business environment while working on a complex work stream that supports client services; and,

- Exhibiting flexibility and willingness to travel, as leadership requires.


In addition to the JBR Manager role, this person may also be supporting key strategic initiatives within the Alliance program as required by the PMO. The success and impact of PwC's Alliance function relies on an experienced, market-driven, high-performing team with special concentration on Alliances that are strategically aligned to the Firm's priorities, and passionately focused on positioning distinct joint go-to-market solutions that drive long-term revenue growth for the Firm.

The Alliance PMO drives the day-to-day operations of the Alliance Program Management Office, PMO, with oversight of staff and activities in the following areas: 1.

Project Management, 2.

Change Management, 3.

Financial Management, & 4. Communications.
