Job Description
The Advisory Horizontal Operations team focuses on driving consistency across verticals, working day-to-day with Horizontal Leaders and Enabler teams to advance the maturity of the horizontals in line with the strategy agenda.

They focus their alignment with the Consulting Ops Leader/Advisory Operations for direct connection with our strategy and effective operations.

Risk Consulting Horizontal helps clients develop a proactive risk mindset to create a risk-agile culture.

PwC Risk Consulting capabilities include:

Risk Strategy and Governance. Risk Analytics, Risk Operations, Crisis Management and Event Response, Regulatory and Compliance Risk Management, Control Assessment, Design and Testing, and other progressive areas that bring risk advantage to our clients.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 10


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree


Degree Preferred: MBA or an advanced degree


Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates proven thought leadership of, and/or success in directorial or managerial roles involving, working across a Horizontal and/or Competency organizational landscape to drive strategy, alignment and effective operations, emphasizing an intimate understanding of the following areas, preferably for a global network of professional services consulting firms:

- Teaming with peers to maximize collaboration and drive pull-through across an organization while creating an impact in a market across a multi-competency services;
- Interacting beyond core leaders with Partner team to discuss key clients, engagements, and performance to stay relevant with practice realities and bridge strategic direction with practical performance;
- Acting as the primary Horizontal interface with our enabling functions, collaboratively partnering to attain strategic goals and priorities, such as learning- and development-related graduated curricula, marketing strategy, knowledge agenda, people strategy, and financial reporting.
- Understanding across Horizontals and enabler groups to prioritize and align activities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in achieving targeted objectives; and,
- Driving connectivity with global leadership, as appropriate, such as reporting needs, budget planning, enabler coordination, strategy.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates proven thought-leader level abilities to collaborate closely with senior Advisory leaders within a global network of professional services firms, functioning as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor across multiple competencies, emphasizing the following areas:

- Managing competing priorities across multiple project teams working simultaneously, re-prioritizing as needed in a fast-paced environment;
- Understanding of PwC's Advisory operating model, particularly core competencies in respective horizontals;
- Leading through influence leveraging negotiation and delivering executive-level communications and presentation skills to shape and set horizontal goals and budgets that align with Advisory vision and strategy;
- Utilizing extensive project management skills, emphasizing facilitation, critical thinking, and problem-solving; and,
- Exhibiting and leveraging financial know-how and methodologies, with an intellectual capacity to interpret and analyze financial reports.
